The
"original" SWITCHABLE ballast! Independent test studies have
shown that plant growth under metal halide light in the early stages of
growth with high pressure sodium in the later stages are consistently
healthier, larger and have more fruit / flower weight than plants grown
under metal halide or high pressure sodium exclusively.
The switchable ballast easily facilitates this
process. Just insert your favorite metal halide lamp and
change the switch position to "MH" position. When it's time to change over
to HPS simply take out the MH lamp, insert the HPS lamp and change the
switch position to "HPS" and turn it on. Because the fixture can use
standard lamps instead of conversion lamps the grower benefits two ways:
1) MONEY SAVINGS - standard lamps cost
about half as much as conversion lamps.
2) MORE LUMENS - standard lamps have a
better lumen output than conversion lamps.
