Juliana was the first company in Denmark (and the very first outside England) to produce hobby greenhouses in great numbers. Juliana has a considerable export in Western European countries with Juliana subsidiaries in both England and Germany. Juliana is situated in the outskirts of Odense with more than 7,000 m2 (75,000 sq. feet) at our disposal. With the modern production potential Juliana is able to produce one greenhouse or conservatory every fifth minute.
Reading about the wide range of Juliana hobby greenhouses you will see that many features have been incorporated as standard, which are found only as extras on other manufacturers models. There are plenty of models to choose from. Juliana probably has the widest range of greenhouses on the market with sizes ranging from 4'3" x 2'2" to 65' x 12'.

WHY POLYCARBONATE?
For decades hobby greenhouses have been synonymous with the combination of aluminum and glass. However, in the last few years the glass has to a great extent been substituted by a new material - polycarbonate. The sheets of polycarbonate is constructed by two tier channels (see photograph) which is why the polycarbonate has got a lot of advantages compared to glass. Because of their construction the sheets of polycarbonate have got the same insulating effect as thermo windows and therefore the temperature in the greenhouse will be more even and gives the plants better growing conditions. The polycarbonate is strong and can therefore resist for instance the weight of branches falling down and balls being thrown at it by playing children. The sheets of polycarbonate are light and are delivered in full length sheets which is why they are easy and quick to assemble. The construction of channels breaks the sunrays and the need of shading is decreased. The insulating effect of polycarbonate extends the growing season dramatically and if you wish to heat the greenhouse the loss of heat is decreased markedly. The sheets of polycarbonate is delivered in 4 mm (5/32") and 6 mm (1/4") width according to the chosen greenhouse model. With all the sheets of polycarbonate there are U-channels provided which protect the sheets against insects and dirt and ensures that any condensation in the poly-carbonate sheets is drained.
