Our quality knitted greenhouse shade cloth provides crop protection for UV and heat sensitive plants. This material provides better ventilation and water permeability because of its open lockstitch design which reduces wind speed and heat buildup in structures. The material is lightweight, being 20-25% lighter than other woven materials and dramatically more strength. It is easy to install and can be cut on site and will not unravel.

This material will reduce soil loss by helping lessen evaporation. The tough lockstitch knitted construction resists rips, tears and fraying. Applied levels remain constant during product life. All standard widths can be seamed together for even wider dimensions than standard widths. Material can be ordered in black (8 year UV protection), white (4 year UV protection), green (5 year UV protection), violet (4 year UV protection) and Aluminet Reflective (4 year UV protection). A variety of percentage shades are available.

Online ordering is done by the linear foot. For example, if you want a piece of 40% Black that is 12 feet wide by 18 feet long select the "add to cart" button to the right of $1.80 and when prompted enter a quantity of 18. The total will be calculated for you based on the price of $.15 per square foot.

TO ORDER NON-STANDARD WIDTH ONLINE

If you would want a non-standard width or odd sized piece such as 18 feet wide by 24 feet long then it must be cut from the next highest standard width.  In this case a standard width of 20 feet at $3.00 a linear foot. Select the "add to cart" button to the right of $3.00 and when prompted enter a quantity of 24. The total will be calculated for you based on the price of $.15 per square foot. After you select "Check Out" on the shopping cart menu and enter your order information, place a note in the "Comments/Special Delivery Information" box with the exact size of shade cloth you want. In this example it would be 18 feet wide by 24 feet long.

TO ORDER DOUBLE WIDTH ONLINE

If you would want a double width, such as 40  feet wide by 68 feet long then you must seam two pieces of 20' wide shade cloth together.  In this case two standard widths of 20 feet at $3.00 a linear foot. Select the "add to cart" button to the right of $3.00 and when prompted enter a quantity of twice the length, or in this case 136. The total will be calculated for you based on the price of $.15 per square foot. After you select "Check Out" on the shopping cart menu and enter your order information, place a note in the "Comments/Special Delivery Information" box with the exact size of shade cloth you want. In this example it would be 40 feet wide by 68 feet long. Any combination of standard widths can be crated in this manner. A seam of 68 feet will be required at $.29 per lin/ft. To add seaming, edge taping or grommets select the "Continue Shopping" button on the shopping cart menu that appears after you have added the shade cloth to your order. This will bring you back to this page. Add the number of grommets, length of seam required or length of edge taping required which appears below. After each entry, you can return to this page and add the next item. When done, select "Check Out" on the shopping cart menu and enter your order information. Place a note in the "Comments/Special Delivery Information" box with the exact size of shade cloth you want, how you want it taped and how you want the grommets placed.

Hinged Grommet Fasteners

Plastic Nylon Hinged Grommet Fasteners cover a larger surface area on the fabric for strength and stability. These do-it-yourself on-site fasteners are less expensive than conventional grommets and are easier to use. $.49 each when used with custom shade cloth or sold separately.

 

If you want Brass Grommets on the edges of the material you will need taping at $.39 lin/ft. If you want to use Plastic Nylon Grommets that you place yourself, taping is not required. Brass grommets (#2 grommet w/5/16" whole) are $.37 each and the plastic are $.49 each.
