ALUMINET THERMAL SCREENS offer superior year round climatic protection for flowers, potted plants and vegetables. ALUMINET acts like a mirror as its unique aluminized screens reflect unwanted sunlight and harmful radiation heat from the greenhouse during summer, and preserve the heat inside the greenhouse in winter. 4 year UV protection.

When used as a retractable curtain on the inside of the greenhouse, ALUMINET reflects out the unwanted radiation and heat during the day. During cooler temperatures, it preserves the heat inside the greenhouse. The open structure of the screen creates a cooler climate, making it excellent for use in high humidity conditions.

SHADE CLOTH - SHADES AND COOLS

Due to the superior reflect abilities and light weight of ALUMINET, it is the perfect cloth to cover the outside of a greenhouse instead of standard black shade cloth. In addition to providing all of the benefits of standard shade cloth, ALUMINET is easy and quick to install.

ALUMINET is also used as a direct covering over vegetable crops. The aluminized screens not only provide shade, but also protect against frost. Under actual field conditions, crops covered with black shade cloth during frost conditions, were totally damaged, while crops covered with ALUMINET had no damage whatsoever.

DESCRIPTION

ALUMINET is a special knitted screen made from metalized HDPE. The fibers are produced from mono-oriented HDPE, giving the fiber durability and longevity. After an aluminum metalization process, the films are covered with a special anti-oxidation coating. The net is knitted into a precise uniform texture. The net meets the ASTM-D 3887 standard.

For example, if you want a piece of 40% ALUMINET that is 14 feet wide by 20 feet long select the "add to cart" button to the right of $3.64 and when prompted enter a quantity of 20. The total will be calculated for you based on the price of $.26 per square foot.

TO ORDER NON-STANDARD WIDTH ONLINE

If you would want a non-standard width or odd sized piece such as 18 feet wide by 24 feet long then it must be cut from the next highest standard width.  In this case a standard width of 21 feet at $5.46 a linear foot. Select the "add to cart" button to the right of $5.46 and when prompted enter a quantity of 24. The total will be calculated for you based on the price of $.26 per square foot. After you select "Check Out" on the shopping cart menu and enter your order information, place a note in the "Comments/Special Delivery Information" box with the exact size of shade cloth you want. In this example it would be 18 feet wide by 24 feet long.

TO ORDER DOUBLE WIDTH ONLINE

If you would want a double width, such as 42  feet wide by 68 feet long then you must seam two pieces of 21' wide shade cloth together.  In this case two standard widths of 21 feet at $5.46 a linear foot. Select the "add to cart" button to the right of $5.46 and when prompted enter a quantity of twice the length, or in this case 136. The total will be calculated for you based on the price of $.26 per square foot. After you select "Check Out" on the shopping cart menu and enter your order information, place a note in the "Comments/Special Delivery Information" box with the exact size of shade cloth you want. In this example it would be 42 feet wide by 68 feet long. Any combination of standard widths can be crated in this manner. A seam of 68 feet will be required at $.29 per lin/ft. Hinged Grommet Fasteners
 

Plastic Nylon Hinged Grommet Fasteners cover a larger surface area on the fabric for strength and stability. These do-it-yourself on-site fasteners are less expensive than conventional grommets and are easier to use (1.5 inch actual diameter). $.49 each when used with custom shade cloth or sold separately.

If you want Brass Grommets on the edges of the material you will need taping at $.39 lin/ft. If you want to use Plastic Nylon Grommets that you place yourself, taping is not required. Brass grommets (#2 grommet w/5/16" whole) are $.37 each and the plastic are $.49 each.
